Get A Room, Barack - The Not-So-Great-Debate

Holy Blasphemy! Good grief! How Could It Be? (Not that a Certain Someone Who Writes This Blog had not warned Readers in the post HERE that the debates could change everything - if only momentarily.)

Well, wouldn't you know - Mittsky WON THE DEBATE by many "hands-down" and three thousands ' of never-ending eye-blinks from who I now will christen as "Mr. Blinkers." Oh sure, Prez Obama had his "moments" when those of us who support his presidency were sitting on the edge of whatever seats we spent the debate sitting on, straining to hear the The Intelligent Man we know lives within him: the Smart Guy who is an Orator Of The Highest Order who was MIA last night.  Mr. Polite once again sabotaged himself by being UNWILLING to be Aggressive on the Public Stage.

Hello out there in Obama-Land. Haven't you and your apparently ill-adviser's grasped what your supporters need to hear from you? Such as DEFENDING YOUR POLICIES AND SMACKING-DOWN the easiest political opponent-to-slam any Democrat has faced in Modern Times?

Man-oh-man, Obama, did you just kick yourself in the Cojones Again? You had SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES to counter Mittsky's well-rehearsed Debate Skills! Did you even bother to prep? I know you have The World On Your Mind and I'm glad you do, for you are The President. However, you allowed Mitt Romney to slice you into stuttering answers and, at one point, you even said, "I'm sorry," when it involved something-or-other with those antiquated, absurd Debate Rules when you were told by Jim Lehrer (or mebe it was Mittsky) that you were stepping on Romney's "Answer Time." Or something. Truthfully, I don't recall why you said that demeaning-to-you comment, but it indicated how you are just TOO DAMN NICE and, shockingly, unprepared to use the FACTS of Romney's true disdain and dismissal of America's Non-1% in a debate.

I mean, really! Say what? This is precisely why Your Base has been so incredibly frustrated. Get a grip, Man! Stop "uhhing" and being THE NOT ANGRY BLACK MAN. Your BASE WANTS you to STAND UP for your administration with PASSION! In addition, for those who understand Astrology, you're a Leo! A Fire sign. A Passionate astrological influence. Smart, too, as is Fellow Leo Bill Clinton. What in the world is holding you back from using Direct Attacks against those who want to unseat you in your job? You aren't a True Wuss at heart – that I believe. You are hamstrung for some odd, perverse reason from showing anger or wise, edgy, Public Pronouncements of what your opponents are doing to you.

How could you have NOT hit Romney on his callous attitude and plans regarding the Middle Class and Poors. You allowed that man to look like a Saint Of Pious, BS-based 'Caring' all evening. Were you too afraid to bring-up his remarks about the 47% during a cringe-worthy Rules Specified Time Period (which, in a way, I'm pleased was ignored during crucial points in the debate on both sides)?

Your supporters know you can kill people even though you don't want to do so. I know you can say "F-K you" to your Base when it involves pre-existing deals you had to make with the Money Devils to assist your election. But, standing beside a guy who is always looking at you while you flash an insincere smile, or shake your head while ALWAYS looking AWAY from your Challenger while he was doing one hell of a job sounding Compassionate And Empathetic, is either Serious Apathy, Job Exhustion, or basic Out-Of-Touch-Ness about DEBATING. Remember that? You once did it so well. As of last night, NOT so "well." You BLEW IT because, from an outside view, you don't feel up to the verbal sparring while you attempt to keep the world from imploding. Or, you just didn't want to be "there."

Such a personality/image trait is why many of us who will still vote for you are and have been irked and puzzled by your lack of Passion In Defense And Explanation of who you are; what you want for the country beyond abstract visions, and discussing what is so terribly, utterly askew with the GOP that has made it almost impossible for anything in DC to be done - as I always write. YOU need to say these things in debates and stop expecting others to do it for you.

It's clear that I am extremely disappointed in a man who might allow a Lying SOB to beat him in a debate and possibly the election should his performance tonight be an indicator of future debates. Why? Because, once more with great feeling, I believe Obama IS The Right Person For The Job right now. But who would actually know it after tonight's' example? Unless people have Cable TV, all they know is what they saw on their Basic Channels tonight. If I were not "aware" of Romney's BS, I would be feeling like he's not so bad after all.

However, Romney's constant refrain during the debate regarding how he is soooo concerned about The Middle Class and wants to help the "unemployed" and others who are hurting, almost made me gag. Lies. Lies. Lies. If Romney meant what he said I would not be so angry. He presented an Image Of Compassion tonight that is insincere and Obama ALLOWED HIM TO DO IT!

Get with it or we're screwed, Mr. President.

(BTW, I think Chris Matthews of MSNBC needs a huge dose of "Smelling Salts" right about now. He was completely astounded over Obama's non-performance. Obama seems to fade in the bloom of a rose that should always be vibrant and inspiring when In Season.)

And yes, all ye' of GOP Faith, I was not correct in a recent post when I suggested that "my money is on Obama." It's good that I'm not a money-gamblin' sort, eh? However, we have two more Prez Debates to go, and One VP Debate. Time always "tells."

Until then, I remain Supremely Flummoxed.

  1. It's a shame how a liar, fake guy can project an image of caring to an uneducated audience who will vote for him without knowing who he is at heart.

O-man was off his game. What do you think spooked him to fall flat on his face for 90 minutes straight?

  2. My dear Shauna, it wasn't the "Orator of the highest order" who was MIA last night, it was his teleprompter. He demonstrated that when his remarks aren't scripted, and given to him by one of his speech writers or staff members, he hasn't a clue what he's talking about.

Obama has the "world on his mind?" Get a clue. The only thing on his mind for the past year or so, is campaigning.

What you can't comprehend Shauna, is for the FIRST TIME, Obama was challenged on his miserable failing record. The press hasn't challenged him. You and his other followers agree and follow blindly anything he wants you to. So for the first time last night, you and the rest of America saw Obama challenged, and guess what? He had NOTHING!!! Because he has no record to run on. And for the first time, American got to see the real Romney, not the person who the left have lied their asses off about since he came into this race.

I would have given ANY one (maybe two) of my precious vintage guitars to have sat on a couch with you and a big bowl of popcorn and watched this debate together. Even though the evening would probably have ended with us in a heap on the floor with your hands around my throat trying to strangle the smirk and smile off of my face. Because face it lady, Romney beat Obama last night like a red headed step child. Even Bill Mahr tweeted, "Wow. I guess he really DOES need a teleprompter. John

  3. Dearest John - The only thing you are "right" about is the popcorn, as it's my fav non-guilty late night pleasure. As far as choking you is concerned, it would not be from rolling around on the floor. I'd come from behind while you were sitting on a chair.

There is a little thing called "Facts" that was missing from Mr. Blinkers' debate - as in, he lied. So what else is new?

    Yours truly,
    Your Nemesis

  4. Anon - Indeed he was off his game. Is there a method to his "weakness" of not showing anger? If he thinks so, he's only half correct. Sometimes Style will win over Substance. Romney had the style, Obama had the substance - somewhere hidden, apparently.

  5. You would think if a man was willing to give up a $6,000 guitar, The least you could do is choke him to his face. :) (By the way: Most of the Fact Checking I've seen on the debate, seems to disagree with you concerning the lies) John

  6. And isn't it interesting that Obama didn't have the balls to challenge Mitt to his face (like an anonymous from the back choker) before going out on the road today, and calling Mitt a liar? "Cause that's about all he's got. John

  7. Oh John - How could two people w/ the same B-Day be so different? I had 3 b/f's in grade and high school that were either born on our day (or the day before) and all was quite in-sync. However, what we have in common is a passion for what we believe. I can't say w/ honesty that I "respect" your (to me) Uber Conservative views and an obvious belief in Fox News as the END-ALL in The Word, but both of us will apparently remain on our own political turfs despite your incredible guitar collection and talent.

BTW, I'll say that I know the only way to be successful in strangulation is by "Surprise." Thus - my method. (Hah!)

Good thing I remain at least 3,000 miles from you. (Chortles!)

Good Tidings To All, And To Us A "Good Night."

    Play on.....

    1. I guess we're so different dear Shauna, because we chose very different paths when we were young. While many of our classmates were burning their draft cards, or heading for Canada, in spite of Viet Nam, I stood before a recruiter, rose my hand, and swore to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies foreign or domestic. And I did that for 21 years. I got out of the Navy in '72, and came home to be spat upon and called "baby killer" by the Kent State crowd, (PREDOMINANTLY DEMOCRATS) even though I had never been in combat. (You know...the draft dodgers who got their degrees and are our politicians now?) Said the hell with them all, and went back in and made a career of it. NO REGRETS!! Still love you though!!! :) John
