Who Deserves A Flog Today?

Mr. Rick Sanctimonious (aka Santorum) receives the Flogging Whip for his continued anti-LGBT remarks which prove once more how ignorant the man can be with regard to, well, just about everything. It's not simply because I disagree with him; the ire erupts from ridiculous remarks such as this: Better Off Dead-Head Dad Than.... Sure, all children would benefit from dual parental influence - IF the influence is loving. The idea that the only way children can prosper in this world is to have two parents - male and female - is preposterous. There is no accurate way in which to count the many successful, happy and seemingly "normal" individuals in the world who have been raised by just one parent of either sex. However, it happens. Kids can grow up to be quite fine when treated with care. Two women or two men can raise a child just as well as the "typical" socially-accepted male-female models. And, if I may suggest something that Mr. Sanctimonious and his followers have neglected to view through their pint-sized eyes, has anyone thought about children who have been raised by two people of the same sex who were NOT lovers? Such as a single mother and her own mother? Or two sisters? Two brothers? A father and an uncle? And so it goes.
