The Sky Is Green Cuz’ I Say So

untitledkknb
Look out, everyone! Sarah Palin’s back on the defense again complaining about another “gotcha” moment! You are all bad, bad people in the media! (As well as regular people who comment on message boards and general news on websites.) Why would anyone trash Ms. Brilliance for a perceived lack of knowing facts? Especially facts of USA history learned by most in the 2nd grade?

According to the voices that rule the desert of her mind, dear Sarah’s Paul Revere blooper last week was NOT A MISTAKE! Did you get that?

When she said  "He who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed" she was historically correct because, well you know, the sole purpose of Revere’s famous ride was to ensure that the British wouldn’t pull a fast one by surprising our soldiers and, you know, killing everyone in sight. So, that guy on that horse was doin’ what anyone would do by calling-out to the enemy that “we’re not gonna take it anymore” – so there!

Riiiiiight.

Palin apologist’s are all over this story, citing various reasons why Paul Revere’s famous midnight ride in 1775 was to yell at the British and the colonists. The truth is, even if a small portion of what Palin and her people are defending is based on some form of theoretical fact, wouldn’t it have been better for her to have used a comprehensive, coherent reference to the event by citing the classic/historical “The British are coming” announcement?

And if Palin wants to rewrite history and/or teach the populace a new way of viewing the ride, it would have been helpful to have explained why she changed the story in order to ward off plunking herself down in the middle of yet another indication that she doesn’t know how to communicate or think straight without creating additional self-humiliation.

But no. She has to play the victim one more time because the woman doesn’t have control of her mouth. She’ll toss the most ridiculous statements into the air and will never let her chitty-chits land on solid ground when called-out on how utterly stupid, stupid, stupid she sounds. *

You know something? I didn’t want to write about this latest Palin mess. The woman is a PR machine making money for her own gain and nothing more. Bloggers, comedians, supposed adept journalists, continue to wave her name around, playing into her agenda each new day. In fact, I was disgusted by how many Palin-based headlines were in The Huffington Post over the weeks. Every single move she made was covered under a variety of sections: Politics/Front Page/Media/Entertainment (I think, wink-wink).

My primary excuse for taking on this issue is due to Miss Hissy-Glitch’s (and others’) current defense of her blatant ignorance.

Today's point is to express that despite the fact that the colonists’ to whom Revere warned of an impending intrusion were also British in no way makes one bit of sense to ramble-out a hasty, fuzzy blathering as was exhibited by the USA’s Most Egregious Media Whore.

This PR whiz might be crafty by finding ways to remain in the headlines, thus lining her pockets from more Klieg-light energy sockets. But why do it via punch-line-addled gaffes which produce only a plethora of world-wide laughs?

‘Tis yet another reason why other civilized countries are out-educating the USA when people like Palin start their vapid wailing.

In the future, I’ll do my best to let this Palin person rest in pieces and not add to the focus of her constant hocus-pocus.

*Historical fact: In letter posted by the Massachusetts Historical Society, Revere said that he had to keep his activities secret. He had a suspicion that a member of his inner circle had become a British informant. Joel J. Miller, author of "The Revolutionary Paul Revere" said Revere would never have rung any bells on that famous night because the Redcoats were under orders to round up people just like him.

  1. Egregious media whore? TYPICAL left wing vitriol. If a conservative had said something like that, I'm sure you would be up in arms over it. You should be ashamed of yourself. Your credibility as a blogger and champion of women's rights are sadly lacking.

  2. NBC's Brian Williams said he would not cover the Anthony Weiner story, because he had more compelling stories to report on. One of those more compelling stories, was the Sarah Palin Paul Revere screw up. No doubt, she butchered the story, (even though it is a fact, Paul Revere DID warn the British) But here's a prime example of the left wing liberal media bias. Palin bashing has become a sport to the media and bloggers. But it's more important that Sarah Palin be made to look like a fool, than to acknowledge that Weiner is a pervert, a liar, and an asshole, who has been an outspoken defender of all of the Dem's most controversial issues. 3. Hello Anon. In truth, Palin has set "women's rights" back a hundred or so years. I can live w/ what I write. Thanks for the feedback, tho.

  4. Hi John. The Weiner thing is equally weird. What's up w/ these guys? I think the MSM coverage would be worse had he not been wearing briefs...at least from what we know thus far. I'm not in his corner. Even Ed Schultz (on his return to MSNBC yesterday) was suggesting Weiner resign.
