I'm kinda too young (52) to be a fan of the earlier version of this band, but I'm told by some folks that the original line-up of the band was the only version of the band that counts, and all later versions are not valid, and should never have existed. Well, perception is almost everything in the entertainment industry, so I have to dis-agree based purely on ignorance. Lucky for me, when my oldest brother went into the military, I got his bedroom, record and poster collection and his chemistry set. So that's were my trip began. I played this album over and over. My parents like this version of The Moody Blues, just as much or more than I. I know that they have been to more Moody concerts than I. I have not yet been to a current Moody concert nor heard any recordings, so all I have to judge is this version of the band. I like this band very much. It is most of the reason I added flute to my arsenal of accomplished instruments. My interpretation of what this song may be about is, being true to yourself and letting the wind blow through your hair while you still have some.
I will always love the first 3 LP's and everything on them. Was a major Moody Blues fan...and now, as you may know, have the Pinder family as "friends" via a friend w/out trying. For a slightly jaded soul on meeting celebs, etc., I'm honored. So glad you like them as well....
