About Shauna Z

So, what about me? Who is this "Shauna Z"? I'm one of the first female Radio DJ's in the U.S. - from four  #1 radio stations in two of the Top Ten radio markets. Eventually I moved on to work in TV production on news and celebrity-based TV programs, fortunate to be among the first 10 employees hired on "Entertainment Tonight." Most of the shows on which I slaved involved medium-high level responsibilities and titles: producer-this-or-that in one capacity or another - often involving investigative journalism, and basic segments focusing on music personalities/bands.

Next in line was audiobook production - producing, directing, abridging, voicing, hundreds of audiobooks, two of which were nominated for Grammy Awards. Other audiobooks I produced garnered Audie Award nominations, as well as consistent positive reviews in Publisher's Weekly.  I now freelance as a book editor, ghost-writer, and review early drafts, manuscripts, for fiction, non-fiction. 

No matter how much fun many of my careers have been, writing has always kept me reasonably sane. As does music and art...
